Woman bitten by alligator while swimming in Florida river

MARION COUNTY, Fla. -- A woman survived after being bitten by an alligator while swimming in a river in Florida, officials said.
The woman was in the Silver River in Marion County, just south of Gainesville, when she was attacked on the arm on Saturday, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said.
Good Samaritans rescued her from the water and she was taken to a hospital, according to the FWC. Her condition was not clear.
