Shocking video shows LAFD firefighter fall from ladder while battling Arlington Heights house fire

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A firefighter fell several feet from a ladder while battling a house fire in Arlington Heights on Saturday evening, video shows.

Video posted to the Citizen app shows onlookers gasp as the Los Angeles Fire Department firefighter falls off the ladder from the height of the home's roof.

Though the video is intense, LAFD says the firefighter only suffered a minor injury and is expected to be OK.

The house fire broke out on the second story of a home on South Wilton Place just after 5 p.m.

It took firefighters about 20 minutes to extinguish the flames.

No other homes were damaged in the fire.
