
CARSON, Calif. (KABC) -- A Caltrans truck exploded and erupted in flames on the 110 Freeway in Carson, shutting down lanes overnight.
The incident was reported at 12:06 a.m. Friday near the Torrance Boulevard exit, according to the California Highway Patrol. It's unclear what caused the fire, but video from the scene shows the truck engulfed in flames.
No injuries were reported.
At one point, the entire northbound side of the freeway was shut down, but some lanes reopened after a few hours. All lanes were reopened by 4:30 a.m.
