
Verona Fire scorches 600 acres, containment rises to 30% as some evacuation orders downgraded
The wildfire burning in the Homeland area of Riverside County has once again grown in size, but containment also went up as of Wednesday evening. Evacuation orders and warnings were also updated.
The Verona Fire has burned 600 acres and is now 30% contained, according to a Wednesday evening update from Cal Fire.
Although some evacuation orders have been downgraded to warnings, areas near the fire's perimeter remain under evacuation orders.

Cal Fire added that the fire has stayed between the fire perimeter with isolated hotspots within the interior of the fire. Crews will work overnight to establish and strengthen containment lines.
No injuries or structural damages have been reported.
